Today I bought yawnbox.com :) My first domain name!

So what does "yawnbox" mean?

This is the name I chose for myself (my freshman year at university) when needing a screen name for the LAN parties in my dormitory that I host. We play a lot of Halo and StarCraft. The name stuck with me the moment I told my friends why I picked it.

As a kid, I watched Sesame Street. During one episode, a guy was explaining to some Muppets that teachers in grade school don’t like it when kids yawn in class. So, the guy went on to explain a strategy how to not yawn in class.

Late at night, when you are getting ready for bed and you feel a yawn coming on, take out a pencil box. Open the pencil box and yawn into it, then close the box. Take the box to school the next day. When you feel a yawn coming on in class, take out your pencil box, your "yawn box," and open the lid to let a yawn out.

The story was really funny to my friends, so the name stuck. From then on, I was known as yawnbox online and around the dorm. The strategy shared on Sesame Street for keeping focus aligned with a saying out of Star Wars Episode I, The Phantom Menace, that also stuck with me since 1999:

Qui-Gon Jinn (to Anakin): I'm not allowed to train you, so I want you to watch me and be mindful. Always remember: Your focus determines your reality.
